Choosing a Diamond: The Four Cs
A quick guide to the four qualities that shape a diamond's look and price. Our jewelers are happy to show you the differences in person.
Cut
How well the diamond's facets are proportioned and polished. Cut has the biggest effect on sparkle.
Color
How colorless the diamond appears. Less color generally means a whiter, rarer stone.
Clarity
How free the diamond is of tiny natural marks called inclusions and blemishes.
Carat
The diamond's weight, not its size. Two stones of the same carat can look different depending on cut.

Can you resize an engagement ring?
Yes. Most rings can be resized, and most resizing is done in 3-5 business days. Eternity bands and tension-set rings may need sizing beads or inserts instead. See our ring resizing page for details.
